Under the direction of and working with the Treasurer:
1.
Manage the liquidity condition of the Bank to provide adequate liquidity, including periodic measurement of deposit duration and performance of liquidity stress tests.
Maintain contingent funding sources including correspondent banks and the Federal Reserve; borrow funds if needed.
2.
Through use of a vendor or in-house resources, manage the asset liability management function measuring the Bank's exposure to interest rate risk on earnings and the economic value of equity.
3.
Manage the Bank's capital including performance of capital stress tests and recommendations of dividend levels and share repurchase activity.
4.
Update forecasts of net interest income over a three to six month horizon based on balance sheet and interest rate trends and developments.
Develop net interest income projections for annual budgeting and three year strategic planning.
5.
Oversee or participate in bond purchase activity for the Bank and the Bank's trust clients.
Manage the asset quality of the Bank's bond portfolio.
6.
Remain abreast of economic trends and developments; present economic update to senior management monthly.
7.
Represent the Treasury functional performance to internal audit, external audit, and state and federal regulators.
8.
Support quarterly and annual financial reporting related to functional areas.
9.
Other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
